Up Next: St Mirren v Kilmarnock (11th May)

St Mirren host Kilmarnock at The SMiSA Stadium in our final Saturday 3pm match of the 2023/24 season.

The Buddies go into Saturday's match after an important 3-1 win away to Dundee last weekend. Goals from Alex Gogic, Scott Tanser and Toyosi Olusanya saw us defeat the Dee at Dens Park to move five points ahead of Tony Docherty's side.

Saints could secure European football for the first time since 1987 if we win against Kilmarnock and Dundee fail to win at Tynecastle against Hearts.

Kilmarnock lost 4-1 to Rangers at Ibrox on Sunday. Despite taking an early lead, Derek McInnes' side were defeated after being reduced to 10 men when Joe Wright was given a red card. The Ayrshire side sit in fourth place - six points ahead of the Buddies.

Previous

Saints have yet to beat Kilmarnock this season, having drawn one and lost two of our three meetings in the cinch Premiership.

The two couldn't be separated in the first meeting this season with a Kyle Magennis own goal giving Saints a point at Rugby Park in September. Marley Watkins scored the only goal in a 1-0 win for the Ayrshire side when they visited the The SMiSA Stadium in December. Kilmarnock won 5-2 in the last meeting back in March.

St Mirren's last home win against Kilmarnock was in February 2021 when goals from Kyle McAllister and Jon Obika saw us win 2-0.
